QFS develop and manufacture prototypes from single panels to complete installations using customers’ data, CAD or manual drawings. Part or full projects are undertaken on behalf of major companies for body in white, concept and show vehicles. Manufacturers often continue to use QFS’s unique blend of skills right through the initial prototype and manufacturing process, and into mass production. Full size setting-out, jig and tool manufacture, Coordinate Measurement, plotting and testing, ensure a fully integrated development path.
We liaise closely with manufacturers to provide high quality, cost effective tools and jigs which enable customers to gain savings in production volumes because of the built-in enhanced reliability of QFS products.
QFS are able to offer an extensive service in lasercutting, using the versatile LC Alpha III laser cutting machine, which is designed to meet the demands of both high volume and small batch production of sheet metal components. It features such benefits as high speed piercing, mark free processing and double cut productivity operated by our skilled and fully trained programmers.
QFS also act as OEM tool and jig designers, producing registered designs and as required, distributing them to other manufacturers. Regular production samples are then returned to QFS for testing on our CMM for tool wear or other evaluation, then reports can be submitted to the principal manufacturer and subcontractor for their records and any action which needs to be taken.
